A car is recommended for reaching the villa. There is a regular, inexpensive and reliable bus service between Frigiliana and Nerja, and taxis are available locally. However, a car is useful for travelling longer distances, such as mountain trips, and it is the easiest way to travel from Malaga airport - about 55 kilometres away.
